The Tutelage System is one of the Warlords' features.
In the very beginning of the game, you will have a bodyguard, who goes wherever you go. You are his master and he will be loyal to you only.
Apparently, in the late Qing Dynasty, one bodyguard can't give you full protection. You need more guys like him.
How to Get More
There are light effects on some rebels. Kill them by FURY skills, you will capture a new guard. The more you kill, the more guards you will have.
Types
There are various types of guards in the game. Nearly all professions in the late Qing Dynasty will be available in the game. The type of guard you capture is determined by the type of rebels you kill.
Quantity
The captured guards will be put in your Cage. There are only five seats available for the captives. If the Cage can't hold more, you need to transfer some of them into your Reserves Camp, which can hold 20 guards at most. You can take 6 guards with you, but only two of them can be called out to help you. In other words, the other 4 are your emergent backups.
Differences
The guards can also get experience when fighting against rebels, which means they can level up like you. In the actual combat, they will help you kill rebels, give you protection, share 35% damage from you or even die for you.
The differences between those guards are not just their names and appearances, but also their attributes, combat skills and weapons.
Skills
Besides the common skills, your guards have their own special skills. For example, Doctor will cure you and your guard when you are hurt by the rebels; Watchman can call his own understrappers to help you.
Level Up
There are 3 ways to level up your guards.
1. Get XP in the battle;
2. Take in XP Balls;
3. Meditation.
Valor and Attributes
The higher the attributes are, the higher the Valor will be.
There are 3 ways to upgrade your guards' Valor (attributes).
1. Get training on Moral Grounds or Immoral Grounds.
2. Take in Senzu Pills.
3. Learn knowledge from books.
Live or Die
Two guards of the same type can be fused together. And this process will consume your guard's QI.
Trade
Guards can be traded like any other items.
Rebirth
If your guard is above level 70, he or she can be rebirthed.
