Different guards have different attributes. The higher the attributes are, the more skillful your guards will be.
Valor is the general term for the guards' 5 attributes. Generally speaking, Valor shows your guards' current status.
There are 3 common ways to upgrade the Valor:
1. Senzu Pill. It is a special pill that can upgrade guards' attributes. However, each one can only take 5 pills a day.
You can buy the Martial Order to get to the Moral Ground and Immoral Ground, which are the places where your guards can take training. Kill the training guards there, you may have chance to get the Senzu Pills. After that, find Taoist Master to upgrade your guards' attributes.
2. If you have 3 Senzu Pills, you can smelt them into a Super Senzu Pill, which can upgrade the guard whose Valor is higher than level 80.
3. Knowledge is everything. For the bodyguards, it is also the truth. After you kill the rebels, don't forget to pick up the books they may drop. These books are all about the secrets of the attributes. But each book can only be used in a specific guard to upgrade his or her one specific attribute. Just put the book on the guard's head, one of his or her attributes will be upgraded immediately.
