Initiations
Newbie Quest Walkthrough After creating yourself a character and successfully logging into the game, you can start a Quest Chain aptly entitled the Newbie Quest. To begin, you simply have to proceed to the right across three Bridges and speak to the NPC “Ferryman” who offers you a trip to Lotus Port.  After teleporting to the main town of Lotus Port, open your inventory and right-click the scroll there titled “Starter’s-Guide”  By doing so, you will be prompted to use the Pathways system to continue, accept this offer and on arrival Master-Yang will talk to you and tell you to visit the Weapon Smith, so you may properly protect yourself. After telling you this, Master-Yang rewards you with some bonus Experience and the Pathways system asks you if you wish to go to the Weapon Smith.  By accepting the Pathways prompt, you will arrive at the Weapon Smith fairly quickly, he will explain that Weapons are very useful, but, that Armor is also required, after awarding you with some bonus Experience, he tells you to visit the Armor Smith, accept the Pathways prompt and arrive at the Armor Smith shortly thereafter. The Armor Smith tells you that Armor is crucial to your survival and that while weapons should be considered Armor is more important.  Now you must report back to Master Yang with your findings, use the Pathway system to reach him quickly. On arrival, Master-Yang rewards you with some more Experience and tasks you with giving a package to the Stockpile Guard. After reaching the Guard using the Pathway system, you will be rewarded with more Experience and should by now have reached Level 7; the guard then teleports you to Master-Ying, so you can learn about Fury Skills.  Master-Ying tells you to kill 20 Siberian Tigers and to use your Fury skill, so you may kill them even faster. When you finish talking to him, he teleports you to the Tigers and your Fury Skill will activate. Left click the skill to accept it and then by right-clicking the enemies, you will kill them much faster than normal.  After you kill 20 Siberian Tigers, the Pathways will ask you if you want to claim your reward from Master-Ying, accept and return to Ying to receive some more bonus Experience and a Average Quality weapon according to your character class. Additionally, you can check how many Tigers you have killed by watching the bottom-right area of the screen:  After you claim your reward, Master-Ying sends you to the Refiner. So you can learn about refining equipment by using Meteors as material. He tells you that when your level is higher than that of a weapon, you will lose one point of Kung-Fu per item lower level than you (Note: Items you wish to refine must be fully repaired first). He will tell you to talk to the Replenisher, so that you may learn about the different levels of Quality for equipment. The Replenisher tells you that you can use Meteors to improve the quality of equipment from Normal to Average, but, to further improve an item, you must use Pearls and Jades.  Now Master-Ying has a new test for you, he tells you that the Postman in Lotus Park needs you help, open your bag and use your ‘Starter’s Guide” to start Pathways to the Postman. You should also equip all the new items you have acquired. So far so, you may kill the new enemies you’re about to fight much easier. The Postman tells you that he was raided last night and the Incomplete Tomes have been stolen. After offering your assistance, he asks you to kill the “Local Rascals” and retrieve an Incomplete Tome.  By killing some Local Rascals, you may find an Incomplete Tome randomly drops. You must pick it up and return to the Postman who rewards you with some bonus Experience and Gold. The postman then asks you to deliver a book to the Medallion Prefect who then offers you Experience that will Level you up to Level 21!  After three seconds, you can talk to the Medallion Prefect again for a free Average Weapon for Level 21. Then he proceeds to tell you to talk to the Jeweler for some free Experience and equipment! Using the Pathways talk to the Jeweler, she tells you what bonuses both Necklaces and Bracelets give you and then offers you both! Equip your new items and return to the Medallion Prefect once more. The Medallion Prefect asks you to retrieve a letter he left on a roof nearby, accept the Pathways prompt and on arrival, you will notice a basket on the roof, to reach the Basket hold your “ctrl” button and press left-click near the basket and you will jump up to the roof!    Attack the basket, so that it drops the Secret Letter, pick it up and jump back down, use Pathways to return to the Medallion Prefect for the final time. He tells you to deliver the Secret Document to Li-Xiao in The Marsh. He then gives you 10 Lotus Port scrolls and teleports you right in front of Li-Xiao!  After speaking to Li-Xiao, you have finally completed the Newbie Initiation Quests! By now you should be Level 23 and well knowledgeable about The Warlords!  |
